Welcome to another #kTip from Kak Varley… I want to talk about 3 ways to bring value to your social media.

I hear it all the time: “Oh, I did social media. It didn’t work. I don’t get it.” Well, it’s because you probably weren’t doing these 3 things:

Know Your Audience

Do you know who your customers are? Do you know what their likes and their dislikes are and what they’re interested in online? Because then you can start picking imagery and messaging that will appeal to them.

Serve Your Audience

Don’t just come in trying to sell something right out of the gate. In fact, get to know them. Do things that they’d like to hear about. Wish them a Happy Mother’s Day. Ask them some questions. Start a conversation online. Do a poll…these types of things. Maybe even something entertaining. See, you’re not talking about yourself at that point. You’re talking about your audience. You’re reaching out to them and then they will engage with what you are publishing.

Sell to Your Audience

This one is last for a reason. After you’ve known your audience, know what they like and what they don’t like, and then serve them, then you can sell to them. And then make some money on social media.

All right. If you’d like any more information on this, I’d be happy to answer your questions. Just visit me at Ask Kak.

Thanks so much folks. I’ll be back with another kTip.
